Case Closed: Alleged Whistleblower Lawsuit Dismissed with Prejudice

A lawsuit brought by a former employee against TradingScreen in federal court in NY was dismissed for the second time – this time with prejudice. See a copy of the Judge’s opinion here.

This lawsuit  received a lot of media attention following the judge’s first decision in the case a year ago because it was the first ruling under the whistleblower provisions of the Dodd-Frank Act. And that is why we are bringing up the judge’s final decision to dismiss the suit now, several months after the fact.

In his final decision, the judge expressly noted that the Dodd-Frank whistleblower allegations “are contradictory” and characterized the Dodd-Frank claims as “vague and inadequately pleaded.”

TradingScreen was pleased with the court’s decision, as from the beginning we had maintained that the alleged claims were baseless and without merit.
